Archer& Shortlisted at the Northern Digital Awards 2025
It’s official! After years of getting clients shortlisted and winning industry awards, it was time to finally throw my own hat in the ring and enter the Northern Digital Awards 2025 - and I’ve been shortlisted!
This is the first year this prestigious industry celebration has included a Freelancer of the Year category. The awards usually honour in-house teams, agencies, and individuals within both. However, freelancers are becoming more common than ever, particularly in the digital industry, so it was only right that they included us in the awards going forward.
My own freelance journey has been the most fulfilling chapter of my career. Since launching in 2018 after many years in senior in-house agency marketing roles, I’ve had the privilege of working with amazing agencies like Clarity Global, NOVOS, Evolved Search, Climb & Conquer, and MMC, helping them move away from “Random Acts of Marketing” and build focused strategies that deliver real, measurable results. Whether it’s increasing brand awareness, building commercial success, securing industry awards, or attracting new talent, seeing my clients succeed is the ultimate reward.
It hasn’t always been easy. Returning to work after having a baby was one of the hardest challenges I’ve faced, but it taught me the importance of balance and prioritising the things that truly matter. The decision to go all-in on my niche this year was a big risk, but it’s paid off in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
I’ve also loved giving back to the industry and my local community—whether it’s mentoring, public speaking at the likes of The Marketing Meetup, or my work with the North East Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Leadership Forum.
Being shortlisted for this award is such a privilege (and 4 nods for my client Climb & Conquer have made it even sweeter!), and I’m so grateful to my clients, collaborators, and everyone who’s supported me along the way, particularly my husband and family.
Regardless of the outcome, being shortlisted feels like a win in itself and I’ll be cheering on the rest of the finalists on the night in Manchester.
