MEET THE FOUNDER

Hi, I’m Lauren.

I’m an Agency Marketing Specialist, having cut my teeth in in-house senior agency marketing roles since 2014, before going it alone in 2018. I’ve worked in Brand Marketing and PR for almost 15 years, 10 of those working for and with Agencies. 

I’ve helped countless independent agency founders gain clarity and control over their agency’s brand, helping them develop a strategy that delivers on their aims, objectives, hopes and dreams, taking them to £2m turnover and beyond with a clear and consistent strategic roadmap.

I understand the challenges faced in trying to effectively promote your Agency, build that coveted "go-to agency" brand, and seize every opportunity, whilst also servicing your clients. 

It's the good old tale of the cobbler's shoes, and agencies are often the worst for it.

How We Work

After 10+ years working for and with agencies, we know a thing or two about creating a strategy that delivers, and our tried-and-tested-then-tested-again way of working ensures our clients start as they mean to go on.

Here’s a snapshot of how we do things around here.

  • We offer a complimentary 30-min Discovery Call to find out more about you, your agency, your objectives and plans for the future. We might throw around some ideas, but the purpose of the call is to get an outline of what you're hoping to get out of working with us.

  • Following our Discovery Call, you'll receive a short proposal outlining our recommended approaches and timelines. This won't be War & Peace because, in our experience, the real "good stuff" comes from our Strategy workshops, but it'll be enough of a start to help you understand the road ahead.

  • This isn't our first rodeo, and we've been in the industry long enough to know that executing from old, barely-there "Strategies" simply doesn't work. So we start from scratch, delivering a bespoke workshop to take you through the Archer& process, delving for golden nuggets of insight, refining positioning and so much more.

  • Following our deep dive in the strategy workshop, we'll produce a visible roadmap of monthly activities - usually 6 months to begin with - which will outline your Agency Marketing & PR Strategy and plan.

    We're big on planning and know that a clear roadmap is intrinsic to success and things, y'know, actually happening.

  • Most of our agency clients select us to handle the delivery of their Agency Marketing & PR Strategy and plan, and that's how we like it, too. We'll ensure everything happens as it's supposed to, opportunities are seized and maximised, and we become an extension of the business to really tell its story and do it justice. We operate monthly calls and reporting as standard and can be part of the team for as long as you need us.

    A lot of our clients have very specific commercial goals, such as hitting £1m turnover and beyond, with a team of around 20-30, looking to grow both.

  • Our Services page provides more information about what we offer our clients typically, and we also have an unofficial list of further services that can be provided through our trusted network of fellow consultants, such as video production, paid media management, app/web development, copywriting, design and more.

    Every agency we've worked with since 2018 has come to us with unique requirements and we've adapted our offering to meet them, enabling us to confidently say that if it's an Agency Marketing and PR service, we can provide it!

  • The beauty of a fractional model based on a clear, measurable strategy, is that the quote provided is based on your actual needs, not guesswork. Our strategy workshop - which all clients need to go through if they want to work with Archer& on a monthly retainer - starts at £2000 as a one-off fee.

    A monthly cost for service delivery ranges from £1800 to £3500, typically, dependent on client needs and objectives. For one-off projects like awards strategy and entries or a PR campaign, pricing is completely bespoke, ranging from £500 to £2000, dependent on a range of factors.

    Our work is always bespoke, so it's worth a chat to discuss your objectives.

  • Agencies across the country - in fact, the world - are mostly saying the same old stuff as each other. Sorry, but it’s true.

    The ones that aren’t (you know, the ones you’re secretly jealous about who drive you mad every time they post something new) have done this kind of work and know exactly who they are.

    Working on your agency marketing and PR is a choice, and it’s one that smart, ambitious founders are making. It drives reputation, authority, lead gen, talent attraction… the whole sch-bang.

    Our strategy work can typically be boxed off in 2-3 weeks, which would include calls, the workshop itself, follow-up information and the strategic roadmap.

    From there, we can get cracking in the following month if you're looking for help with actually rolling out the plan.

  • For monthly Marketing & PR services, our minimum delivery period is 6 months. Most clients choose to start there, and then extend for 12 months.

    Our longest client relationship has been 5 years, resulting in us delivering some amazing things for the agency before they took the baton themselves and hired internal Marketing resource, as that made sense for the next phase of their growth.

    We love setting up Agency marketing functions to thrive and seeing internal talent roll it out, so there's never any hard feelings when a client comes to a close in that way.

We own our successes and our (rare) misses with honesty and the dogged commitment to take learnings that'll make things better in future.

    There'll be no jargon or smoke and mirrors with our approach because the industry is full enough of that as it is, let's face it.

  • We're not here to ruffle feathers, but we are here to shake things up.

    A lot of the time, agencies can struggle with their marketing and brand because the people within them aren't aligned and find it hard to agree on priorities because they're deeply ingrained in their own. But from experience, we know that they all mean well, so we're not here to p*ss anyone off.

    What we will do is work collaboratively and productively with the relevant people in the agency to drive initiatives forward and develop harmony between key functions like Sales, Marketing, Client Services and HR.

    For us, it's about playing nice and managing complex dynamics, personalities and priorities effectively for the benefit of everyone in the agency - present and future.

  • We ask a lot of questions. It can get a bit annoying, but we're driven by a need to understand the full story of the agencies we work with and the people within them, because that's when we do our best work.

    To us, being curious and inquisitive means asking the right questions, being open to new approaches and always considering the bigger picture.

  • After working remotely for over 6 years, balancing work and life has become a bit of an art form. But things change, like client workloads and kids and appointments and meetings and, well, life.

    Maintaining a balance that enables great work whilst also being a great partner/parent/friend/family member is intrinsic to the very existence of Archer&, and we'll always be straight up when there's a juggle to attend to, adapted working hours or an unmissable school play!

  • We give it in abundance and we expect it in return.

    This means treating everyone across our service delivery with respect, including clients, suppliers, team members, clients of clients, and basically everyone we come across. We value their contributions and opinions, we don't take anything or anyone for granted and respect is there even in times of disagreement.

    We also respect processes and ways of working and appreciate when this is reciprocated.
